VOTE FOR YOUR TRACK NOW!!! HSS Race #5 Wild Card, Aug 7-8
Exciting things are still to come for the remainder of "The Heartland Sprint Series" as we now enter the part of the season where you, the racer, will dictate the track layouts!
Although, no one got the chance to race "The Ace of Hearts" track layout because of the inclement weather, the seven sessions Saturday had many racers claiming it to be a favorite. So we'll hold on to that track layout and it may resurface for next season.
Everyone who came to race for the July 10-11th race day weekend will receive "Rain Points". Actually it would be more accurate to call them "Lightning Points" rather than Rain Points. BP Motorsports Group will race in the rain, but the tremendous amount of lightning in the area was the primary cause for cancellation of the race. All attending entrants will receive "Rain Points" for the race and we'll see you all again for "The Wild Card Race" on August 7th and 8th. Don't forget to vote for the WILDCARD track layout you want to race on for August. Voting will run through Saturday July 31st at 11:59pm here on our website. Just scroll down and click on your favorite track to vote.
Good luck to everyone and we'll see you all in August!

Car-Car Motorsports is the Clone Class Sponsor!
BP Motorsports Group is proud to announce that Car-Car Motorsports is adding to their already existing sponsorship by becoming the official sponsor of the Clone Class for The 2010 Heartland Sprint Series! At the conclusion of the season the points Champion, in the Clone Class, will receive a BRAND NEW CLONE MOTOR!
The following is just part of a letter that was written to the folks at Car-Car Motorsports following our first race of the season.
I can't thank you guys enough for the wonderful time this weekend. Before this year I had a waning interest in karting in the Midwest. The event you all put on was top notch and my Dad and I had an amazing time. For the first time in years I'm thinking about karts with an enthusiasm.
Russell Karting is now Tag Jr. Sponsor!!!!
All of us at BP Motorsports Group are proud to announce the addition of Russell Karting Specialties, Inc. to our sponsor line up for the 2010 Heartland Sprint Season. Russell Karting has been a tremendous help to us in the past few years, and we're very pleased to announce that Russell Karting Specialties will be the official sponsor of the Tag Jr. Class for the 2010 season! Get those Tag's ready because they're putting $500.00 up for grabs to the driver that wins the 2010 Heartland Sprint Series Championship!
NEW OFFICIAL HSS TECH. DIRECTOR for 2010
BP Motorsports Group is also pleased to announce that George Russell from Russell Karting Specialties will be the official Tech. Director at each and every race for the 2010 Heartland Sprint Series. Those of you who are familiar with Russell Karting know that this is a tremendous addition to the season and we couldn't ask for a better, more talented person policing tech. We're grateful and thrilled to have George Russell join us for the season.
HSS is now a Tag Worlds Qualifier Series!
Attention all Tag Drivers!!!! It's now official, the BP Motorsport's "Heartland Sprint Series" is a Tag Approved Regional Qualifier Series for 6th Annual TAG World Championships that will take place at New Castle Motorsport Park in Indianapolis. The dates have been set for October 1, 2 and 3rd, 2010.
HSS, BP, & CAR-CAR exhibits at the Auto Show
BP Motorsports, HSS and CarCar Motorsports got together and started "thinking outside the grid" so to speak. Everyone promotes karting on EKN and their local track websites etc., and that's great but it's "Preaching to the choir".
Together we put up a 50 foot by 50 foot display at THE 2010 GREATER KANSAS CITY INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW! The response was nothing short of AMAZING! We promoted the sport of karting to a totally new audience and put karting in front of an estimated 270,000 people in five days!
CarCar Motorsports sold a handful of Karts and promoted "The Heartland Sprint Series" for 2010! The event was so successful that we're planning to have an even larger display for next years auto show.
Win Maxxis tires at every HSS race!
In addition to the $2000 Tag Senior purse, Maxxis is back at it again and they've increased their sponsorship level with BP Motorsports Group for "The Heartland Sprint Series" this year by bringing back the "Winning is Twice as Nice with Maxxis" promotion.
Maxxis saw great success with this promotion last year and they brought the promotion back this year for ALL SIX RACES!!!!!
If you run a race on Maxxis tires you have the chance to win a free set of Maxxis tires! Each driver, who is running on Maxxis Tires, is entered into a drawing for a FREE set of Maxxis Tires at the end of day. You get one entry into the drawing for running on Maxxis Tires, you get another entry if you are the fast qualifier and you get another entry if you win your pre-final and yet another entry if you win your final race. The faster you run the more chances you have to win the Free set of Tires from Maxxis!
You can order your Maxxis Tires online from our sponsor CarCar Motorsports www.carcarmotorsports.com or order directly at every "Heartland Sprint Series" race this season. If you buy your Maxxis Tires from CarCar Motorsports you could win a FREE entry fee into the race courtesy of Maxxis Tires and CarCar Motorsports!
HSS Track layouts Announced
The HSS lays down a "Royal Flush" for midwest kart racers!
We are excited to announce our track layouts. Each month will have a different layout that will test the skill and ability of the drivers and tuners. Some months will be more technical, other months will feature layouts that will have more speed. "The Heartland Sprint Series" will put you to the test to win the Championship in your division. You'll be racing for the soon to be revealed and coveted "Heart of Karting" award and with a multitude of different track layouts it will be anyone's race.
We are also throwing a "Wild Card" in the schedule to change things up a little. For the August race we're going to take things one step further and let YOU the racer decide the track you want to race on! BP Motorsports Group will allow you to choose the wildcard track below by clicking on it and sending your vote via email. The track that gets the most votes will be the HSS track layout you race on for August. Hence the name "Wild Card"! We're putting it in your hands and you get to pick the layout.
That takes care of the "Royal Flush" with the five track layouts but what about the sixth and final race of the season for September? That race will be totally unique and we're not sure what the track layout will look like for that race because that track design will be 100% totally up to you! By September you will have raced five events of "The Heartland Sprint Series" so you'll have a good idea of what the facility is like, so we're putting the design of the final track totally in your hands! Who gets to be the "Joker" that designs the track layout for September?
One-third of the season will be picked by YOU the racer! You'll have a major and direct impact on the track layouts for "The Heartland Sprint Series" in 2010! We're looking forward to seeing what you have in mind!
Voting will run through Saturday July 31st at 11:59pm. The track that receives the most votes will be the track you race on for the August "Wild Card" race.
Click the image above to download a blank PDF layout form and design your own track for the September "Joker" race. You can print and turn in your track design(s) at any of our first four races. Each race team can submit up to four track designs. All entries must be received no later than the fourth HSS race on July 10-11. All submissions will then be voted on by the Directors of BP Motorsports Group and the "Joker" track layout will be announced on site, at the completion of the August race. The "Joker" design will then be posted online after it is announced at the race. The driver who submits the winning design will have his / her name posted with the track layout on the website and will be referred to as "The Joker that designed this track". In exchange for us getting to have a little fun with you, we'll also grant the driver of the winning design a FREE ENTRY into the race for September.

OCT 2009 PDC Race a huge Success!
The BP Motorsports October 2009 race was a huge success with a great turnout. RACE RESULTS are posted, click here to view. Some great race day info and photos of the event have been posted on the Kansas City Karting Association website.
OCT 2009 Track Layout
This layout was fast with a few very challenging corners. The track ran in a COUNTER CLOCKWISE direction. Kid Karters used the novice track layout(in red) which was modified from the kid kart expert and other classes. Stay tuned for the new 2010 track layouts.
Looking at the track diagram above you can see the planned road course expansion, it is labeled as "Future High Speed Track".
If you use a little imagination looking at the overhead below you can see almost limitless configurations for up to almost one mile in length. A track like this will no doubt favor the tuners and drivers that are quick to adapt. No home track advantage here as the course will change for future races.

Turn Right on Terry Frost Memorial Drive, you will see the track immediately on your left
